Desert Dancer Imports Skirts What makes a Desert Dancer skirt so special and fun to wear? The tiers of the tiered skirts are wider at the bottom than at the top for a larger flounce and a slimming effect. The bottom tier is made up of 10 panels, (X width of fabric = 42"-45") for the poly/cotton blend and 8 panels, (X width of fabric = 58" - 60") for the rayon which is 12 plus yards. These two unique design concepts give a fuller hem and a greater circular lift when completing turns along with greater accents to your movements. The newest design, which I call the Hybrid, is even more special. It is 12 panels at the top which is one and a half circles around. Attached to the circular top is a deep ruffle which is 15 yards around. This skirt is slimmer at the top, lighter weight and flows beautifully. Also available in a 16 panel, 2 circle with a 20 yard ruffle by special order. I have made separate pages for the different kinds of skirts. I hope this makes navigation easier for you.
